Weeks Activities

Last week we have been busy with wedding album designs, editing images and sending away to our suppliers to have some beautiful frames made, a couple of stunning Alumini prints and lots of various sized prints ordered by clients.
We have also had a couple of wedding shows - One in association with the Grampian Wedding Directory who had a variety of their wedding advertisers display their products within the Bon Accord Centre Aberdeen on Saturday 22nd September. This was a fantastic day and was great to meet and chat with passing shoppers.
We also exhibited at the Marriott Hotel in Dyce on Sunday 23rd September, where again it was great to meet and chat with bride's / couples dropping into the hotel.

Craig & Debbie's Wedding

We had the pleasure of capturing Craig and Debbie's wedding on the 14th September at the Palm Court Hotel. We also captured images within Johnstone Gardens, a short walk from the Palm Court. What a brilliant day with a fantastic couple. We wish you all the best for the future..

SWPP Licentiate Qualification

Last week I submitted a panel of 20 wedding images to the SWPP and have gained my Licentiate qualification. Some of the comments received from the judges (George Dawber, Dennis Orchard, Llewellyn Robins and Len Bateman) were amazing! One in particular saying that my work was very close to Associate level! As you can guess, I am well pleased..

Weeks Activities

It's been a busy week.. We have been preparing for and exhibited at the Dream Wedding Scotland exhibition in Aberdeen Music Hall on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th September where we displayed our beautiful wedding packages, handmade Italian albums and display products. A great turn out of brides to be and couples looking to tie the knot. It was a pleasure meeting and talking to you all and showing you our range of products. We look forward to talking to you again soon.

Saturday 8th evening we had the pleasure of capturing images from the annual 2012 Nursing Graduation Ball held in the Hilton Treetops Hotel in Aberdeen. What a wonderful evening had by all and a great effort by Natalia for organising such a successful event. Some images to follow..

Gavin and Marthe's Wedding

What a wonderful day we had last Saturday (1st September) with Gavin and Marthe at Ardoe House Hotel and Spa, Aberdeen capturing their wedding day.
For a change the day stayed rain free for them both. What a fantastic couple and we wish you all the best in Norway. Here are a few of our favourites from the day.

Keith and Aimee's Wedding

What a brilliant Saturday (25th August) at Tor Na Coille Hotel in Inchmarlo for Keith and Aimee's wedding. The rain fell for most of the day but managed to stop and allow us to venture outside for some lovely images within the grounds. Keith and Aimee are a lovely couple and the rain did not dampen spirits or their special day at all.. I had a wonderful time with you all. All the best to you both.

Sharon, Gemma and Peppe (the dog)

 

What a wonderful day yesterday on location with Sharon, her sister Gemma and their dog Peppe. The sun was out (quite a change from recent Aberdeen weather) so we meet up in Seaton park to capture some images for their dad's birthday present. I am sure her dad will be well pleased with the results.. This is one of my favourite images from the session.

Pentagon Freight and Paul Lawrie

 

I had the pleasure of working with Pentagon Freight on Wednesday to capture images during 18 holes of golf at Trump International Golf Links at Menie. Pentagon management were joined by Paul Lawrie, who Pentagon sponsor, and also their clients.
We were all so lucky to have the fog (haar) clear and for the course to open to allow the six groups to tee off on a stunning and extremely challenging course.
Thanks to Keith Park from Pentagon and Paul Lawrie (for winding me up about all the images taken in the rough, not posted..) What a great day!

Calash commercial shoot

I was commissioned to capture images for Calash at their offices in Golden square, Aberdeen back in June this year. Zara from Calash was brilliant with her brief and was very happy with the results.

What a great day we had with Austen and Gayle at Banchory lodge hotel capturing their lovely wedding. Such a shame the rain did not stop all day but this did not dampen spirits in any way!

SWPP Gold Medal Award

I managed to pick up a gold medal with this image in the SWPP June "Portrait Studio" category.
I also received two highly commended awards for entries into the Wedding Avant Garde and Wedding Traditional Categories.

Chris and Jill's Wedding at Ardoe House

 What a wonderful day yesterday capturing the wedding of Chris and Jill. It all started in Stonehaven where Jill prepared for her big day. From there it was up to Ardoe House Hotel and Spa Aberdeen for their lovely outdoor ceremony.

Another Award Winning Image

Jonny and Lesleys Wedding Shoot

Jonny and Lesley tied the knot last week with a lovely little ceremony in Aberdeen Town House. After the ceremony we travelled down to Footdee to capture some lovely images of the couple in and around the old village.

What a fantastic day. The sun was out, smiles were abundant and everyone enjoyed the afternoon. Jonny and Lesley, you are a fab couple and I enjoyed every moment!

New 2012 Products

We have now added some new display products to our range -

You can now have your favourite image printed onto a sheet of aluminium with a brushed satin finish. This stylish product mounts beautifully on your wall and looks simply stunning.

The second option is a stainless steel edge print with a slight metallic finish. This is also wall mounted and available with a selection of edge options. Ultra modern, clean and contemporary.

And finally, we are now printing "Fine Art" prints. If you love black & white images then this is what you require. Images are printed directly onto 310 gsm cotton rag or etching papers and look absolutely amazing within a frame and hung on your wall.

SWPP Gold Medal Winner

The above image has just won a gold medal in the SWPP (Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers) monthly competition! As you can imagine I am well pleased!

Rainbow Prestige Cars

A wonderful day at Norwood Hall, Aberdeen, capturing a selection of commercial images for Rainbow Prestige - Chauffeur Driven Executive Services.
Rainbow had various cars including BMW's, Mercede's, Jaguar, Porsche and Range Rovers on location.
