Andrew and Mandy-May Blackburn Wedding

Kiwi Images had the pleasure of capturing Andrew and Mandy-Mays wedding on Saturday. It all started at a beautiful private rural country home capturing a selection of images of Mandy-May preparing for her big day. Their ceremony was held in the wonderful "Old Marnoch Kirk" where Mandy-May and her husband Andrew tied the knot.

Duncan Taylor Commercial Shoot (Part 2)

Kiwi Images started the second part of Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky commercial shoot last Thursday. The shoot took place on location at their bottling plant in Huntly. What an amazing day capturing a variety of images from initial cask pouring's, bottling, labelling and testing. We also captured a further selection of product images in front of old casks.

"I must say, the smell of the whisky during the cask pouring was absolutely amazing! I am amazed I could still focus after that.."

Andrew and Mandy-May's Wedding

Kiwi Images is looking forward to Saturday where we are capturing Mandy-May and Andrews wedding. The old Kirk (church) in Marnoch is absolutely amazing and their reception afterward is being held in a beautiful private residence surround by huge trees. So looking forward to your big day Mandy and Andrew, it's going to be great...

Duncan Taylor Commercial Shoot (Part 2)

Kiwi Images is going to start part 2 of Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky commercial shoot on Thursday. This will involve capturing images of the bottling process, addition of labels and the people involved. We also will be capturing shop layouts and images of casks. Looking forward to this shoot..

Bex Studio Shoot

What an amazing afternoon with Bex in our studio. The plan was to capture a selection of head and shoulder images with a few different backgrounds thrown in.

Bex showed at our studio totally saturated from her walk in the rain! After drying off we set about capturing some lovely images. Even though her red jacket was wet we decided to use this in a few of the shots as it matched wonderfully with her red lipstick, blond hair and fair complexion..

The piercings Bex has I think has enhanced the images of her and has a "distinctive look". I was amazed at how photogenic Bex was..

I must also thank my neighbour for throwing out the bamboo screen that was damaged in the last storm here. It made a lovely backdrop in a few of the images.. This is what I call recycling..

Beverley's Graduation

Kiwi Images had the pleasure of capturing Beverley's graduation day held at "His Majesty's Theatre" Rosemount Viaduct, Aberdeen on the 12th July.

Well done Beverley on your graduation, you must be so proud. A grand achievement!

The ceremony was fantastic within a beautiful theatre. After the ceremony we captured a few images across the road in Union Terrace Gardens where the sun was shining.

Well done again Beverley and congratulation's!

Iain & Kirsty Moir Wedding

Early July was Iain and Kirsty's wedding day held at "The Marcliffe Hotel and Spa" here in Aberdeen. Thankfully for all the rain held off and the sun came through for what turned out a brilliant warm summers day, unlike the previous couple of days...

Iain and Kirsty were absolutely amazing and wanted to have some fun on their day, which I think they did!

Kirsty made me laugh wanting to climb out the window of the Marcliffe hotel and have this captured. I also loved the image of both Iain and Kirsty jumping from the granite wall down to the lower level and the images of little Beth running about the enclosed garden - a little cutie!

Duncan Taylor Commercial Shoot

Kiwi Images completed the first stage of Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky commercial shoot back in early June 2011. A fantastic collection of whisky was delivered to our studio here in Aberdeen.


"Honestly they were not opened and sampled.."

The setup consisted of a variety of images captured of each product from high-key, low-key, closeup/macro to a few abstract shots to promote the blends. I liked the addition of some smoke to the "Auld Reekie" blend as this was described as "Distinctively Smokey" I think the addition of smoke worked..

Was an interesting shoot with some stunning results..

Hello and welcome

Hello to all and welcome to Kiwi Images new blog page. I thought I had better start this page to keep all up dated on what Kiwi Images is doing now and in the future.. There have been some wonderful previous weddings, portrait and commercial shoots that have been exciting and also a challenge.
